Poor mans time lapse pan mount.
Like those time lapse videos that also pan the scene? Found out that the commercial slow pan tripod heads are insane priced?
Go to a cooking store and buy a super cheap kitchen timer, the mechanical type that turns.
Install a 1/4-20 bolt into the face to mount the camera to, and then glue a 1/4-20 bolt to the bottom.
Mount to the tripod, wind the timer, set up the shot and let go. the timer will spin the camera while the camera takes the photos to assemble the time lapse shot.
