Well they did it, they made it "illegal" for bluray players to output unencryptred analog signals....

Yes this is old news, but it's the first I heard of it because they are intentionally keeping it quiet. Honestly it's time to buy your blu ray player NOW to avoid getting a crippled one, and I'll bet they will send out a "update" for all current players to enforce the disabling of analog HD.
It's all because the content industry thinks of every single one of you as a dirty thief. All you want to do is steal their precious precious content.
All I want to do is use my HD gear for as long as possible. It looks like I wont be buying a new Blu Ray player and holding onto my old out of date one.

There is a way around this. I use an external tv tuner by Hauppauge it's the HD PVR. Component, S-Video, and Composite. The component has input and output and I use it on my bluray player to record netflix and the occasional bluray copy.
