Quick tip if you are unlucky and have a motherboard with intel I225-V networking

 Intel's engineers were idiots on this chipset.  it doesnt work well in any way on normal networking gear.   to fix this go to the your adapter driver settings, disable power saving features and green ethernet, manually set speed and duplex instead of auto negotiation intel claims 2.5gb negotiation with certain routers can cause this problem so might want to set to 1gb to see if it works first.   It's because intel does 2.5gb negotiation wrong and they refuse to fix it.
