iphone 4S wont connect to Netgear WG102

I found a solution for those out there with the netgear WG102 wireless AP.   Downgrade your firmware on the router to 5.0.1  from the 5.0.3 that it ships with.   The router has a broken firmware that will reject connection if a client asks for an Extended Capabilities connection and broken Wireless AP's will reject the connection if they are asked for this.


So downgrade your firmware on the WG102 to fix this issue.  Netgear will not admit to this problem, and because it's a discontinued model, they dont really care either.
