A fellow Ham radio operator passes.
My Neighbor Pete Moyer, callsign WB8TNE, died last night. I knew him for years as a fellow ham radio operator and a neighbor to my Mom before I bought her house as well as a distant relative. The past 2 months he has not been able to be on the air because his antennas fell down from the Wind storm.
He was a retired police officer, a supporter and member of the big brothers big sisters program, an Emergency services volunteer and even was a teacher for the disabled for driving. Pete was a guy who gave back to the community.
He Loved ham radio, Was on the air on 40 meters all the time and had made friends at all corners of the globe. He will be greatly missed worldwide.
73 WB8TNE - Hope that God has a Ham radio shack that get's good propagation.
