Why does everyone hide where Klipper stores your machine config files?
Ok I just spent a stupid amount of time trying to find where a modern Klipper install stores the printer.cfg and other configuration files. No I dont want to store them in github, No I dont want some other cloud backup. I want them right here on my NAS or a USB stick. Searching official docs or anything online all gives you wrong or out of date info. WTF people?
Where the hell are they?
Here is my printers home directory. OMG you know my username is tim... Russian hackers are going to hack norad through my printer OMG OMG OMG OMG! Yeah no, people go way overboard on that kind of shit. hack me I dare you!. there is a folder there... printer_data that is where you go first. then jump into the config folder inside that.
There we go. all my files and the revisions. This one has only ran for 2.5 years. after 20Km of filament printed It's time to upgrade it. I'm replacing the pi knockoff with a real one and upgrading to canbus because my wires are failing after being flexed constantly. stupid china quality wires. Dont buy any of the Voron wiring harnesses, they all are made of crap wire. buy the crimpers and make your own. or better yet go canbus.
So there you have it. your printer config files are in ~/printer_data/config all other guides and websites on the internet are phreaking wrong.... unless you did some kind of hack job installing it manually, then it's all on you.
